Making and Canning Homemade Barbecue Sauce
You can't find a barbecue sauce recipe

12 pints
Toasted Sesame Seed Oil
1 tablespoon
3/4 cup
Onions, finely chopped
1/2 onion
6 onions
Salt
1/4 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
Pepper
1/4 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
Chili Powder
3/8 teaspoon
1-1/2 tablespoons
Ketchup
1 cup
12 cups (96 oz)
Brown Sugar
3/4 cup
9 cups
Worcestershire Sauce
1 tablespoon
3/4 cup
Cider Vinegar
1/4 cup
3 cups
Water
1/4 cup
3 cups

  1. Coarsely chop the onions. At the same time, heat the oil on a medium-low heat.
  2. Sauté onions until translucent or for about 5 minutes.  Add salt, pepper and chili
    powder.
  3. Turn heat up to medium. Add the rest of the ingredients beginning with the ketchup
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer, cover, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
