Creamed Corn
Creamed corn is definitely a favorite of ours and it is easy to make.
If you
wish to can creamed corn then use our
canning
cream-style corn
recipe
.
Ingredients for 4 people:
W
hole Kernel Corn
1 quart
Milk
1-1/2 cups
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Pepper
1/2 teaspoon (or more!)
Butter
1 tablespoon
Cornstarch
1 tablespoon
Over medium high heat,
bring corn, milk, salt and pepper to a simmer.
Meanwhile, melt butter and cornstarch together and mix well. This may
be done
using a medium microwave setting.
Add
b
utter and cornstarch mixture to corn.
Simmer
5 - 7
minutes
, or
t
he creamed corn is thickened
.
