Creamed Corn
Creamed corn is definitely a favorite of ours and it is easy to make. If you
wish to can creamed corn then use our
canning cream-style corn recipe.
Ingredients for 4 people:
 
Whole Kernel Corn
1 quart
Milk
1-1/2 cups
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Pepper
1/2 teaspoon (or more!)
Butter
1 tablespoon
Cornstarch
1 tablespoon
  1. Over medium high heat, bring corn, milk, salt and pepper to a simmer.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter and cornstarch together and mix well. This may
    be done using a medium microwave setting.
  3. Add butter and cornstarch mixture to corn.
  4. Simmer 5 - 7 minutes, or the creamed corn is thickened.
