Making and Canning Boysenberry Jam
We make most jams using the same procedure, regardless
of the fruit. Using the ingredients below, follow our
technique for
Making Jam, with a 15 minute cook time,
and then
Canning Jam.
Ingredients per 1/2 pint of jam:
 
Boysenberries
1 pound per 1/2 pint jam jar        
Water
1/8 cup per 1/2 pint jam jar
Sugar
1 cup for each pound of fruit
Lemon (organic or chemical free)
1 for every three 1/2 pint jars
Other ideas:
  1. If you like jam thicker, you may ad
    pectic in accordance with
    manufacturer's directions.
