Making and Canning Rhubarb Jam
Rhubarb jam makes a great ingredient in many pies.
We make most jams using the same procedure, regardless
of the fruit. Using the ingredients below, follow our
technique for
Making Jam,
with a one hour cook time, and
then
Canning Jam
.
Ingredients per 1/2 pint of jam:
Rhubarb, chopped
1 pound per 1/2 pint jam jar
Water
1/8 cup per 1/2 pint jam jar
Sugar
1/2 cup for each pound of fruit
Lemon (organic or chemical free)
1 for every three 1/2 pint jars
