Lazyboy’s Meatballs

 

 

This rendition on Swedish meatballs makes a very tasty treat for a formal dinner party hors d’oeuvre or a simple family meal served with spaghetti.

 

Ground Beef

1 pound

 

Shallots

3 large

 

Garlic (Optional)

1 clove

 

Canned Barbecue Sauce

1/2 pint

 

Bread Crumbs, Crackers or Wheat Thins

1/4 cup crushed

 

1.  Finely dice shallots and garlic.

2.  Mix into ground beef using your hands.

3.  Crush crackers to make bread crumbs in your hands and mix into beef.

4.  Form ground beef into balls and brown over medium heat, turning for about 15 minutes.

5.  Add Canned Barbecue Sauce and bring to a simmer.

6.  Simmer for 10 minutes.
