Roasted Slivered Almonds
Many people toast nuts in the oven but I prefer to do them on the
stovetop in a medium sized skillet.

1. Place almonds in skillet over medium heat. |
2. Roast and toss permitting color to change
slowly. To toss take the handle of the skillet and push it away from you
forcing the contents forward to toss. |
3. Roast until golden brown. Allow nuts to cool completely before placing in a sealed container or Ziplock bag. Any residual moisture will ruin the almonds. |
