Making Cream of Mushroom Soup
For home canned cream of mushroom soup, we use our canned mushroom
soup recipe
and then add cream after opening and reheating.
Canned Mushroom Soup
Pint
Quart
Heavy Cream (or milk)
1/8 - 1/4 cup
1/4 to 1/2 cup
  1. Bring canned mushroom soup to a simmer. You may prefer to reduce it for
    15 - 20 minutes to compensate for the added cream.
  2. Add desired amount of cream or milk.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
