Tarte Tatin Puff Pastry Recipe
We make my own puff pastry for
this terrific dessert,
Tarte Tatin.

Ingredients:
  Notes:
Flour
1-1/4 cups
 
Powdered Sugar
1 tablespoon
 
Salt
1 teaspoon
 
Ice Cold Butter
3/4 cup, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
 
Ice Water
1/3 cup
 
1. Mix flour, powdered sugar
and salt in a food processor.
2. Add butter and mix well using
the PULSE button.  Do not use
the normal mix setting or run the
food processor continuously.  

Slow add ice water and pulse
until pastry clumps when tested
with fingers.  Add more ice
water if necessary, one
tablespoon at a time, pulse and
test again.
3. Line serving tray or plate with
wax paper and press pastry on
top to make a crust.

Refrigerate for half an hour.
